I'm always excited for shifting the status quo but whenever I see things like this I can't help but think (like most people) "so when is everything going back to the way it was?" It seems like a bad writing method to me to shift things away to spark interest and then shift them back to spark interest. The danger is people becoming immune to this tactic and getting bored with it.

You know what people really get bored with: everything staying the same and nothing interesting ever happening.

And so WHAT if it changes back?  Does that make the stories any less good (Or bad, but let’s assume they’re good for the sake of argument).  We were all sure Cap would come back from his death a number of years ago, but when he did, was Bucky’s run as Captain America lessened somehow?

A clue: No.

All it did was give us a chance to appreciate Steve more, let us see how important he is to us and the characters, built Bucky up to whole new levels, and at the end of the day left us with TWO, not just one, character existing with strong backstories and stuff to read about them.
