So, Flash fam, do we all remember this interview?
Speaking with TVLine, showrunner Eric Wallace confirmed that yes, that damaged roof will be repaired, but fans will have to wait until the series finale for it.
“I hope to repair it in the series finale, whenever that is,” Wallace said. “That has been my plan, since Season 6.”
These are the last shots of STAR Labs, from the Flash series finale, from the start of the episode, and the finish. The last image just might trick you, but if you look closely, you can still see damage, and they clearly picked the angle with the least amount, whether that was a conscious decision or not.
Plus, there’s only a week between the first image and the last, so that is not enough time to affect necessary repairs…well, maybe for Barry, but he’s busy being a dad.
Yes, STAR Labs went the *entire run of the show* NEVER getting repaired.
And I’m not saying this as any sort of “Eric LIED to us!” Shit happens. He had a lot to pack into the final season, several years of plans out the window, and “fixing the CGI building” is easily the least important plot point he needed to bother with. But as someone who has been stomping her feet about this for the last five years, I had to check in on the final state of things.
