I do care.
But I don’t think it’s anywhere near as hard as some people are making out.
So it seems to me that this is often used as an excuse when somebody just isn’t enjoying a particular title or story. Which is fine—whatever works for them.
Honestly, people complaining about “How can X be in this story at the same time as Y story?!” has been happening for as long as I’ve been reading comics, which is over 30 years now.
It’s not ‘harder’ today, and people need to obsess a little less about it. Very rarely do stories run unimpeded with NO breaks between them. And if the costumes don’t match up perfectly? Well, Wolverine felt like wearing his old costume that day.
In the words of MST3K, “Repeat to yourself it’s just a [comic], I should really just relax.”
